I have setup a Department Group(number is part of DID range) with 3 members which I am able to call internally and it hunts through the members OK.
For some reason I am not able to call it from external through DID.

Need some help.

Below is the DID Table for this number.
I would think this is sufficient.

is there anything else required?

Do your extensions have CAP keys? I would test your DID number as well and I'm pretty certain transfer operation mode should be no transfer. Remember, members or a dept group can have NO features active like ANY call forwarding features etc. Never really use Dept groups save fax servers, conf bridges and VM systems.

Thanks CoralTech.
Phones do have CAP keys and was able to DID to this number as a virtual eaxtension.

What would you suggest for Group Hunting setup?

I would use virtual extensions instead of a department group. DID to a VE. Place the VE on a button on every phone that needs it, then assign it to ring. This way they can still use features.

I did initially have the setup as VE but was faced with issue where multiple calls can not be taken and changed it to Department Group.
note sure what you mean by features.

Multiple calls can be handled with VE. I usually assign VE to a phantom button (say button 25 on a 24 button phone) on their phones so they don't see it and it works just like a ring group from an end user experience. If you are trying to distribute calls evenly I would suggest ACD.
