I have a 2003 server at one clients location, they have trend micro and a custom database app running thru IIS.

Dep is disabled globally with the /AlwaysOff switch and has been for a month now. But this morning, trend is disabled right across the board and a message popped up after a reboot with DEP closing an IIS worker process. What the heck?

The only update installed is service pack 1 for 2003 and the time patch. What am I missing?

double check the /noexecute=alwaysoff is correctly in the boot.ini something may have changed it. also is /PAE in the boot.ini?

Yep, was set to /alwaysoff. I found an article explaining to set parameters /execute /NOPAE in the boot.ini file.

I'll reboot later today and post back with results.
