I am working on a problem with a NAM VM where the customer does not want certain ext numbers dialed off the AA. They are using diffrent ext ranges throughout this location so I tried routing the lead digit of these ext numbers via CCR to an info mlbx that says you have dialed an incorrect digit but if you dial as soon as the AA answers it routes the call anyway. Tried CF to VM then using voice announce but it still follows the CF.
Bottom line is there any I can restrict certain ext's from being dialed via the AA. Thanks for any help.

I dont think voice mail can deny this.

Dont think this will work but in tel system programming try locking the set to Full and see if that works....Full lock prevents answering Trunks but not sure if this applies on a call tranfered by vmail.

Maybe also try going into F983 and tell the mailbox it is associated with Ext * instead of the actual ext number (phantom mailbox). Call come is then straight to the mailbox.

I have not tested these....just some thoughts other wise remove the intercom keys but that effects internal use.

You could try the poor man's fix- change that person's ext, and on the new mailbox, don't assign it to the directory.

Was thinking that too but then thought what if they are smart enough to call another set or do button inquiry F * 0 Intercom.

I think set lock should be like vmail COS where as it could be modified more.
