Deny Direct Accesing to a paricular folder!

Hi

I have a folder that contains sensitive documents. These documents should only be accessed via the intranet but it seems that some users are getting directly to the URl via something like:

http://intranet/upload/docs/document.xls

which is quite unacceptable.

How can i deny them this access!?

Do you mean they should only be accessed via some link off a page on your internal website? "via the intranet" implies being connected to your internal network, which is not the same thing.

The easiest solution would be to make the access page a CGI script that serves up the file without the file being accessible via a direct link. Search the PHP forum, it's been discussed there a dozen times.
