Dear SP Expert,
in my sites there are some pages which must be denied for some users,
ie. I had "Personel" page, "Sales" page, "System" page, when some of users clicked the link of these pages then he/she will get denied. how to set my SPS 2003 to run with that condition?

Regards
Winanjaya

Hello,

You can't really explicit deny users on specific pages. SharePoint works the way that if you do not grant access to a certain Site, Area etc. the user will not have access to it. If such user tries to enter a site, the user will be prompted for username and password.

I would recommend that if you have not already gone through the SharePoint Portal Administration Guide you should do so. It will explain how user-rights etc works and is a very useful document.

You can find it at
Also a good book I can recommend is the Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies Resource Kit, it is a very good reference book and it explains most things when it comes to Administering and setting up SharePoint.

Best Regards,
Thomas
