I've upgraded my network to windows server 2008, and i have one remaining windows server 2003 domain controller, which i wish to demote to just be a member server.

I've run the dcpromo to remove this, but the system keeps telling me that i dont have permission because of the "Enable computer and user accounts to be trusted for delegation" setting is disabled for my account. I am logged in as administrator, and as far as i can tell in the policy this should be enabled for administrator. I've changed the policy to include "Domain Admins", and the computer name - but whatever i do i can't get the setting to change to enabled.

Can anyone give any advice on this one?
Thank you
James Wilson
