We are getting ready to replace one of our domain controllers in a W2K domain. This controller is the first controller in the domain. Hence, it is "more" equal than the other domain controllers. What is the best way to do this. Is all I need to do is transfer the masters from it, or is there more?
Thanks for the help.

Move the roles and demote. Anything you miss (role wise) will move automatically. Other then that, you should be ok. Make sure after you move roles, you force a replication and give things time to settle. Otherwise there maybe some instability caused by moving the roles and demoting to soon.

Good Luck!
