I am looking to demote a Windows 2000 Domain Controller running DHCP from my ennvironment. I will be transferring DHCP from the old server to a new domain controller. I will also be removing all 5 FSMO roles from that server and seperating them to different domain controllers. My question is: how do I properly remove the old server completely out of the environment? Do I just run DCPROMO and disconnect it from the network? Or do I have to do additional steps?
