I have used fsck on my mounted
root file system. It seems that I lost
all the data, when I rebooted the system
in rescue mode from CD, it wasn't able
to recognize any linux partitions.
I tried to do something with that
by using Stellar Phoenix Linux to help me
recover the data, the partition table
he was able to read, but it recovered no data
from linux partition affected.
Is that anything I can do to solve the problem?
Really thanks for any valuable advise,
M.

Try knoppix 3.6 live cd to recover your data on your root filesystem.
