Does anyone know how to get Delta server to correctly report 5 digit extensions? It's dropping the first digit - extension 68299 is showing as 8299, 60020 is showing up as 20.

IP500, does this on standard and pro upgrade, 4.1 and 4.2.

Too large of a deployment to renumber to 4-digit extensions.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Hopefully someone's seen this before, right?

I don't think it does that's why CCC only works with max 4 digits, how big is the site then?

That's a couple of hour programming I'd say, probably less than you'll spend trying to fudge delta server to make it work with 5 digits, the only thing is to look in the registry but I am dubious that the setting will be in there either.

The customer won't go for it either. Do you know where it's documented that CCC/DS require 4 digit extensions?

· Extensions associated with IP phones should not be given extension numbers greater than 7 digits.

· Extension numbers in the range 8897 to 9999 are reserved for use by the IP Office Delta Server.

· Users for Delta Server, CBC and CCC should only use up to 4 digit extension numbers.

that's from Help file in Manager

That's what I needed, been looking through knowledgebase and such under Delta and CCC, didn't think to just look under Extensions. Star for saving me time...

No worries :)

Or use the extension renumbering tool in manager
It will do all users and extensions

I know, it's the huntgroups, shortcodes, ARS etc that all need changing though. Can add up :)

I bet if you were quoting a customer to renumber a 7 site SCN you would allocate a couple of hours tlpeter :)

It is real quick

Just delete 10000 for 5 to 4 digits and the system does all the work for you

I would do this in the lunch even if it is 7 sites

I no doubt could do it too, but it's when they say their VM call flows have stopped working blah blah it starts to eat into your lunchtime :)

It would be much more work than subtracting 10000 from the extensions. Then there's re-training the entire 250+ user staff on the new dial plan.

Anyway, we think we found the solution - the accounting software is Tapit EX, we tested one site by upgrading to 4.2 and swapping out the CRD loader with the IP Collector which pulls SMDR output right from the IP Office (since 4.2 has that feature now). It looks like it's reporting the correct extensions now.
