I have a large program written in Delphi 3 for a windows 95 environment. What I need to know is:
1) Will the Borland Database engine install and work on a windows XP system.

2) Also, ill a program written in Delphi 3 run in the WindowsXP environment.

Advice wil be appreciated.

Just try it out, I assume that you have the apropriate rights to modify the settings of the XP-computer.

I have an Interbase Data Server running on a Win2000 workstation. The connection is made from Win-95, 98, ME, NT-server + wks. XP is just another operating system

The framework started with Delphi-3, and I have always used the BDE for the data connection, no matter which version. Never had any problems, only sometimes with all these access versions and odbc connections from Microsoft that forces you to update something with a service pack.

Never needed to update the BDE for my connection.
