Delphi v1 and Windows 98SE

I've been running Delphi v1 since 1997 under a variety of O.S.'s and processors but I recently upgraded to an AMD Duron (900MHz) and Win 98 SE. Now Delphi v1 is acting very strangely. Programs that worked before don't now work if I recompile them. I write fairly heavy number crunching programs (MCMC integration, if anyone's interested) and I'd appreciate any help from anyone.
