I know there is a recession on but well before the recession bit, Delphi jobs seemed very few and far between, if there were any at all. Is it a dying language?

Is Delphi still your main programming language at work? If not, what are you programming in nowadays? Or does your company have plans to drop Delphi and change over to something else?

delphi is still our language of choice, infact we just hired 2 additional delphi programmers and bought 3 copies of D2009 enterprise.

our company policy =

win32 development : Delphi
asp.net development : VB.NET or C#

win32 forms development in .NET still sucks

I would prefer to do everything in Delphi but I can't for everything. I just bought the D2009 upgrade from the recent sale because it has Prism included. I really like the VS2008 IDE. My D2006 is slow in comparison.
