Delphi Freezes when it loads 3

O.k, heres the story: i was working on a project when a blackout hit :-( , it lasted for about 2 hours. I turned my computer on, and tried running Delphi 5. It showed the splashscreen and the it froze i mean it froze my entire machine, i had to reboot the hard way, the on/off switch on the power regulator. I turned it back on, thinking it mught have been a Windows issue or something, tried running Delphi again and nada, nothing, zero, it froze again at the splash screen. everything else on my Pc seems to be running o.k. If anybody has any idea what could be causing this, i would really appreciate it.

Is your project saved? If worse comes to worse, you can always reinstall Delphi.

The project is saved,, well at least up to the changes i made before that tragic night. And about reinstalling it, i guess that's what i'll have to do.

as suggested, i tried reinstalling Delphi 5, but it did not work, it still freezes, i dont kow what to do? if any body can help, i'd appreciate it.

This may be a stupid question but did you completely remove the old copy before you reinstalled.
The installer wont overwite any existing stuff.

Try this: Start Menu, Run (Windows Key + R)

"C:\Program Files\Borland\Delphi5\Bin\delphi32.exe" /np /ns

/np : causes for no new project to be set when Delphi is loaded

/ns : causes for splash screen not to be loaded Everyone has a right to my opinion.
