There seem to be some new names about so I will try again with this one.
Since upgrading from D3 to D4, under W89SE I have odd niggles which seem to be related to the debugger.

Sometimes if a progam stops on an exception and wont continue, so I do 'program reset'.
It appears to reset and everthing looks normal, but on recompiling I get a can't compile message, If I CTRL/ALT/DEL into program manager, I see the program is still listed as running, click 'End Task' and everthing is OK.
Also If a progam ends normally, and I click immediatley on 'Run' sometimes I get a 'Debugger still runnning' message. Try again its OK.
Has anyone any ideas?

Steve.

Ive had similar error messages when using the reset command after the program has stopped on an exception and Im using Delphi 5 under a 2000 environment. The way I found around this is to run the program again instead of reseting it and then exit the program as you normally would. This seems to work glitch free.

As for your other problem, I can only guess that even though the program has been reset it is still residing in memory the first time you try to run it again which would explain the error message.
