I am trying to create a meeting request/invitation using Delphi 7 and Exchange server. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks

I would suggest using the Outlook / MS-Office connections available. There must be some FAQ on this subject like faq102-1562 only this covers a connection to Excel...
Outlook works mainly the same, so if you have any experience in VB by accident, your in luck this time. I don't have that VB experience so can't help you on exact details, but searching on google for Delphi and Outlook could get you somewhere. I found this and going from there should be easy.

Thanks.

I can use Outlook not a problem but I want to skip this and go straight to Exchange server. I think I can do it using MAPI but I am not sure if it will be possible to handle creating meeting request/invitations etc. All the examples I have found are just sending emails.

Thanks for any help.

That's exactly the same problem I kept on running into, so I decided to go the Outlook way ;-)

Ah looks like I will be going the same way then. Any pointers? :)

Thanks

EMAPI will go to Exchange, as will ODI. These are not trivial protocols.

One reason to go through Outlook is that you avoid all the log-in issues (assuming you turn off the Security dialogs). You can also create a "user" (we named ours Maxwell Scheduler) that is a delegate for real users' calendars so it could act as a PA.

I found a company (in Romania?) that had a lot of information and a toolkit for Exchange work.

slipstick.com is a good clearing-house for Outlook and Exchange information.

Developing Applications using Outlook 2000, CDO, Exchange, and Visual Basic by Raffaele Piemonte, Scott Jamison has useful information. I just got Rizzo's book, so I don't know how it is.

Cheers
