Dear readers,
How do I get Delphi 8? Please bear in mind that in Africa we do not have the ability to pay via credit cards. Is there any free delphi8 download? Is there any cheap way of getting hold of a copy (no pretense to integrity!!!).

You can download a D8 demo from Borlands web site.

However from what I hear D8 is a '.net' only compiler so D7 should be Ok in most circumstances.

Don't go for Delphi 8 if you don't like .NET,
don't go for Delphi 7 if you think your sofware needs at least one update
but go for Delphi 6
