I've just got Delphi 7 PE on a coverdisk and was wondering before I install it if anyone knows if it is possible to create apps with it which will run on my Pocket PC.

I've searched the forum for the subject and could only find a similar question about a Palm. My PPC has an ARM processor and runs Windows CE.

Anyone offer any advice please?

As far as I am aware there is no version of Delphi that generates ARM code.

However, there is a very Delphi like development tool called PocketStudio which can be used to develop applications for the Palm OS.

I contacted Pocket Technologies Inc in July 2002 regarding ARM support and this is the reply that they gave me:

"Thank you for your interest in PocketStudio. We are incrementally adding support for PalmOS 5; support for the ARM processors will be added in a future release (no fixed date yet). Also, we don't have the pricing available for future upgrades."

An interesting alternative is to use Kylix to develop applications for those PDAs that use Linux.
