Hi guys !

I need Delphi 5 for my studies.

I found the trial but I need the unlock code for use it for 30 days.

At Borland, they seems that they don't send unlock code anymore.

So, if someone can help me, I'll appreciate !

Thanks !

jackform316,

I would contact your instructor for the unlock code. Few people will publically post a software registration/unlock code to a public forum.

You might also try calling Borland's customer service desk directly (831.431.1000).

Alternatively, you might ask your instructor is Delphi 5.0 is absolutely required, or if you can use a more recent version. Delphi 6 and 7 projects can be loaded into Delphi if you use care to not use things specific to the later versions.

Finally, you might see if you can obtain an academic version of Delphi; that will give you unlock codes on the installation CD.

Hope this helps...

Hi Footpad !

Thank's for your reply !

First of all, I know it seems strange but I'll begin to studies in programming. And to follow the program, we learn basic programming and for that, we need the version 3, 4 or 5 of DELPHI. I communicate with the university but I didn't receive any reply to know if I can use a recent version of Delphi.

I know it's ridiculous !

It's like for instance, that if I need to have Wordperfect 5.1 to learn how to use a word processor.

So, I hardly found a trial version of DELPHI and it was the fifth version. I did go to the Borland website but it seems that they didn't support this old version because I didn't find anything to obtain the code to unlock the installation process and use it for 30 days. Sure I'll communicate with them to obtain an unlock code for the trial period but I though it will be easier to find it on the web.

I think there's nothing wrong with that because the trial was on the net when it was the usual version of Delphi and everybody was able to download it and obtain the code from Borland.

Thank's again and have a good day !
