delphi 5 and vista

is anyone aware of issues with delphi 5 applications that use paradox databases on windows vista machines?

i have an app that works ok on all other versions (w2k, xp, 98, 95, winme) but

when i installed on vista and ran it, the databases were corrupted(!)

the same thing installed on xp ran fine first time.
