Delphi 3 cant see latest visual foxpro release sp5

Our Application is written and compiled in Delphi 3. It was accessing a foxpro database using the Borland database Engine(BDE)'s native dbase driver with a 'level' setting of 25 as specified in the bde documentation. This was all working perfectly.

The foxpro database has been recompiled in the 'latest visual foxpro- service pack 5'.

The delphi app can no longer read (or even recognise) the dbf. Is it simply a matter of a new driver needed? If so which one? Any suggestions gratefully received.

Check the BDE in your control panel. It could be that the alias setup for your program isnt there or the default path has been lost. A similar thing happened to one of our clients and this was the solution. Arte Et Labore
