Delphi 3 and Win 2000

I am a Visual basic developer but I was called upon to transfer a delphi 3 application to a win 2000 machine.

After struggling several times I got the application to work but when I run any reports I get the following error message
Access violation at address 000000. Read of address 000000. It throws up this error when the report has been partially loaded i.e. the first page can be seen on screen. If you click ok and try to navigate to the next page you get a message
Metafile is not valid
Once this happens you can niether print the report nor run any other report.

The report writer used is Quick Reports 3

Does anyone have a solution to this problem

I got a similar problem when I tried to adjust the properties of the columnheaderband

Leave ForceNewColumn false and
ForceNewPage false

I suspect that it has to do with the version of QuickReport (standard)
