Hi,

I am switching my main dev laptop for a beefier model.
I reinstalled D2006, but I can't get it's license active.

I have my .slip file from my old machine but License Manager won't accept it.

Anyone knows how to solve this?

Look in C:\Documents and Settings\[logged in user]. Look for a "regNNN.txt" file, where N equals a number. (Mine is reg735.txt). Rename the file and trying activating again. I had this same problem when updating to Turbo Delphi Professional from the free Turbo Delphi. (Turbo Delphi is a language specific version of D2006.) Hope this helps.

that file does not exist(Delphi 2006 studio here)
anyway it's solved. Delphi was always complaining that it couldn't find the activation file. a simple reboot fixed the problem.

I just didn't expect that to solve the problem.

[morning]
