Has anyone tried loading R12 SE onto Avaya Dell R620 Server?
Success?
Any information if this will work or not?

I have not tried this yet. I want to see if anyone else has already used this server with R 12 and if they were successful before attempting.

Beyond not trusting hardware that old for something business-critical, I'd keep the following in mind:

-It would be unsupported by Avaya in all ways.

-can't install as a virtual machine on vmware, as the required version of vmware would be too new to have hardware support for that server

-you *might* get away with installing Windows Server with Hyper-V role to allow a IPO_R12 virtual machine to work. It would most likely work, but no guarantees.

What about running R12 directly on the bare metal?
This is a never used before server we kept as spare in the sealed box!

It shouldn’t be a problem if it is an Avaya provided server.

I guess R620 has been sold with IPO 11.0 and I don’t remember that upgrading from 11.0 to 11.1 and 11.1 to 12.0 has any restrictions on server hardware.

So generally it should be supported even if the R620 might be EoS by Dell.
