We're installing a new Dell R520 Server. We have both SAS and SATA drives. We want to boot just from the SAS drive. It seems to want to put the boot partition on the SATA drive and not the SAS drive. It does install the OS on the SAS drive. Why does it put the boot partition on the SATA drive? We've tried switching to UEFI and it didn't help. Any helpful hints? Our drive sizes are SATA: 1 TB and SAS: 300 GB.

We unplugged the SATA drive and ran the Install Manager software and it worked.
