Hello Everybody,

Somehow I've been put in charge of configuring a Powervault SAN to 1 of our Poweredge 860 Servers. When I boot the Server with the SAN attached it recognizes all of the drives within the Powervault during bootup but then just hangs and sits at the LCSI " " message. Soon as I unplug the SAN it boots back up fine.

These are all new drives in the PowerVault so my guess is that the server is trying to boot from the SAN and not the local hard drive with the boot partition. I've never worked with a SAN so I'm pretty sure I'm just missing something in the configuration to tell it not to boot to the SCSI ID's that are in the SAN? Can anybody please let me know if it is something obvious that im missing?

Thank you
