dell poweredge 420sc adding raid

Hi Guys,

I have a Dell PowerEdge 420SC. I currently have 1 x 160GB HD loaded with W2K3 sever. The machiune is also a DC.

I would like to add another 160GB HD in a Raid1 config using the embedded raid controller.

Of course I will backup the entire drive, etc but will I have to re-install everything or can I just add the other disk and build the raid without losing any data?

Any help would be appreciated.

Once you make the change from SCSI to RAID with in the PERC BIOS you will lose the data on your drives.
