Hello Everybody,

I have a customer that has a Dell PowerEdge 2950 and according to the BIOS has a SAS 6 RAID controller. When I go to Dell's website under configuration for the Service Tag, it says it is a SAS 6 iR. So to get to the problem I am experiencing, I removed Trend Micro Antivirus that was out of date with the Trend Micro removal tool (Add/Remove Programs wanted a password) and when I rebooted I received the "Winload Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file" error. Of course the customer has lost his original disks that came with the systems so I have no operating system to boot from. I do have a Windows 2008 R2 iso file so I created a DVD and tried to boot. During this process it shows me that the only found OS is C: at zero bytes (I am assuming this is the DVD drive). At this point I can install another driver but I cannot find the SAS 6/iR driver for Windows 2008 R2 (or at least not one that is separate that works). Most of the drivers from Dell are exe installable files that tells me the machine is not the correct OS and throws me out of the installation when I run it from my laptop (Windows 8). There is another one I found but it seems to try and create a floppy disk. Since I do not have a floppy drive on my laptop (it is 2016 after all) it also fails.

I may try to find a machine with a floppy drive to see if those drivers work. However it would be nice to find the driver online. Does anybody know where I can download the correct drivers from?

As for the error I think the system would have a backup of the Winload.exe in the system32\boot folder. I am planning to check the attributes on the main file in System32 (remove them if necessary), copy over the copy, then add in the attributes again. Does anybody know if this should work?
