Hi guys,

A quick question regarding the redundant power supplies on the Poweredge 2650's - Do they act as UPS's (Keep the server going if the power goes out) if the power goes out?

Cheers for your replies

No. The redundant power supplies allow you to:

1. Survive a failure of a power supply, and, optionally,
2. Connect your server to two separate power sources (i.e. a UPS and line power, or two discrete UPSes). Assuming one fails, your server will continue running utilizing the second power source.
