Without more info, you will have to wait until a clairvoyant tech comes along, there are not many in the industry.

technome: There must be tons of clairvoyant techs in the industry--it seems that everytime I sit down to troubleshoot a problem, people expect me to know what's wrong before they even start telling me what the problem is!

Guess your right..

I really don't mind if they expect me to know whats wrong before they explain it, I like being spared the 20 minute explanation, as they know nothing of what they are talking about, or their limited knowledge has compounded the problem already; it just aggravates me. If I am so unlucky, I start thinking of other things, computer unrelated.
