Has anyone run into an issue where these devices boot up to an error message stating the Hard Drive needs to be replaced. Then the user is prompted to press F1 or F2. We are starting to see a trend here at my job with these devices. The devices are running either W95 or W2000. Thank you.

Just my two cents...

I deal with this all the time on the OptiPlex GX1. If you are running only one drive you need to set the primary master to auto (in BIOS) and the secondary master to none. Should get rid of your problem if it's what I see all the time...

I LOVE troubleshooting...

Had that same problem today. Somehow the setting is no longer LBA so you have to set primary master to auto.
