Dell Laptop, Forgotten Password

Hi All,

My friend has a dell laptop that he has forgotten the password to, I heard that if you unplug the bios battery this will clear it. I have removed the battery for the Bios and left it out for 6 hours then put in again and still prompted for password, any ideas?

Are you talking about the Windows XP password? I found a program at

for $195. I'm sure there are others.
