Hi all,

I purchased a Dell Dimension XPS 3100. I was using the onboard video for a while and this if fine apart from the fact I can't play decent games.

I purchased a GeForce PCI (not express) Graphics Card and have installed that and used the drivers provided with it.

Now the display isn't as bright and sharp as it was using the onboard device.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Thanks.

Gavin.

TFT monitor?

The graphics card resolution needs setting to the monitors defaults ie:
1280 X 1024 refresh 60htz for most basic 15 and 17inch TFT monitors. (lower settings will give a blurred and unsharp image) defaults MUST be applied.
Also the brightness can be altered within the graphics cards control panel.
If not the latest drivers are available from Nvidia.
