Hi,

It sounded neat to have a wireless keyboard/mouse with bluetooth so I decided to get the dell combo. Have not had any luck using them with Windows XP SP2. If I reboot my desktop I must have a wired KB and mouse attached or I get the dreaded Keyboard error message on bootup. Once the system is running it recognizes the bluetooth devices. I did notice the bluetooth receiver light never comes on and it is attached to a USB port on the back of the desktop. I've tried the CD utilities and followed the instructions to the T, but nothing seems to work. ANyone have similar problems and maybe even a solution?

Thanks........

Try this...
With your wired keyboard attached, go into the CMOS settings and see if you see something like "enable Legacy USB support" or something to that effect.

If that is not enabled (and from your description it is not) go ahead and enable, reboot, pair up your keyboard/mouse if not allready done and you should now be able to boot at will without getting the "No keyboard detected"

Not all motherboard/bios combinations will work but this should work on your dell.

Good Luck
Lt
