Does anyone know anything about printers or know where I can go to find a solution to my problem?

I have a Dell 5100cn color laser printer. Whenever I go to print something, it stops and the LCD screen reads "Paper Jam". I open the latch and there is no paper jam but the printer, for some reason, thinks it's jamming. I have removed everything I know how to remove, cleaned the rollers, blown it out with air, I've hit a wall. This issue is outside of my understanding. If anyone could shed any light on the subject, I would be forever grateful.

Thank You,
David K. Iannarelli

At some time in the recent past, have you had a real paper jam and removed the sheet?
A bit of paper may have torn off and be stuck in there somewhere, un-noticed.

Look in the Dell site. I have had this issue with Brother combo printer and we had to input a code into the visual display that reset the systems error registry that we got form Brother.

good luck

Tom

I have a similar problem on a Brother all-in-one unit. I get the same 'paper jam' message. It's a paper feed problem in my case. If the printer is not used for a few days, dust builds up where the paper feeds in. I use compressed air on the parts that feed the paper to the printer and then it runs smoothly.
