Dell 2005FPW is not showing max resolution of 1680x1050

I have been experiencing the following problem with this monitor where it is not showing the right maximum resolution of 1680x1050. The proper driver is installed, but the highest resolution that is available is 1400x1050.

The weird part is that after about 3 months, the correct maximum resolution of 1680x1050 shows up by itself.

Has anyone been experiencing these problems? If so, what was the fix?

I forgot to mention the graphic card details/graphic card:

Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family

Probably an updated driver (automatic Windows Updates is prone to do that) for the video card caused it to show the additional resolution.

Available Resolutions would be related to the Video Card and not necessarily the Monitor.
