I have a standard PE1500SC with 18GB SCSI drive with space for 5 more (a back plane exists), DDS4 Tape running w2k server as PDC. The Motherboard has two scsi interfaces.

The drive has a 55MB EISA Primary FAT, 4GB NTFS Primary System and 12.89GB Data partition.

I want to add a complete mirror of this drive with all partitions. Is this easy/possible using Windows 2000 Server, or do I need a RAID controller. Can anyone help

Thanks

You should always avoid software (OS) RAID whenever possible. Look into getting a PERC (PowerEdge Raid Controller) from Dell for this. Be prepared for a steady stream of driver/firmware upgrades......
