Hi,

Ive been given the go ahead to start looking at moving to Exchange, so far in testing im pleased with everything ive found but I have one issue at the moment which is looking like it will cause me a lot of work. Basically its company policy that certain e-mail addresses are not allowed to send or recieve to external addresses unless we allow them, now with our current software I can use a wildcard such as *@domainname.com so that anyone from that domain is able to send e-mail to us. With exchange it appears that I can only add single addresses which are accounts already within the domain or contacts that I create within Exchange, does anyone know if its possible to use wildcards, other wise ive got a lot of contacts to start setting up.

Thanks in advance

Scott

Did you mean INTERNAL addresses? Your question isn't clear because of that word.

In Exchange 2007 you would use transport rules to accomplish that, and I am pretty sure that you can use wildcards there. How were you going about setting up the restrictions?

Hi,

Sorry yeah I did mean internal e-mail addresses. I have set up the restrictions on incoming mail for the these accounts on the 'mail flow settings' under 'delivery restrictions', in there I only appear to be able to select either contacts or mailboxes and not use wildcards. For the outgoing mail im using a 'Transport rule' but again im unable to use wildcards. All the restrictions are working correctly its just I appear to be unable to use wildcards, if indeed its possilbe?

Thanks for you help.
