Hi,
I am running Seagate Info 7 on a NT 4 Server.
I have this problem with my CINFO.MDB database. I can't seem to remove users and it is using up all my licenses. I am using NT authentication and have tried the solution from Crystal Decisions knowledge base of removing users from the Seagate Info global group, stoping and restarting the services. But that hasn't worked.

What I had to do was to hack in to the CINFO database and manually delete some users. Is there some way to rebuild that database without having to reinstall and reconfigure everything. Or is there another way to fix CINFO.MDB.

Thanks & Regards.

How large is your cinfo.mdb? If it's anywhere near 20 MB, go to the oDBC admin console and repair & compact.

Keep it small or migrate to SQL-based.

Don't know if you have any success yet but you could always try the following:
-Delete the user out of the Seagate info global NT group
-Open up Info administrator, passwords tab.
-Uncheck the 'use NT logon account DB' and ok the changes.
-Recheck the box and ok the changes
-The user will have been removed when you look under the users tab

Hope this helps

Steve
