I'm running CS off a PC. I have a file with 3 spot colors. 2 of them are basically the same - PMS 293 blue and PMS 293 blue CV. I'm trying to remap the CV to the plain 293 blue. When I worked at a service bureau, we could remap them using the Rampage ripping system. I'm now on the client end and my service bureau doesn't have Rampage and can't "remap" the colors for me. They have to go into my ID file and do it... and they want to charge me $100!

Unfortunately I can't figure out which image is the CV and which is the plain so I can go in to the native file and change it. I can't delete either one in ID, so it must be a placed image.

Suggestions?

If you go to Window menu/output preview/separations and turn turn of all but the pantone you're looking for, you'll be able to find find the image as it'll be the only thing that shows up. Click through your various pages as necessary.

Thank you so much! I was able to find a PMS color that was a tiny rule in an object that I thought I had changed all of the PMS colors to K. I followed your instructions, found the tiny rule, opened the native object in Illus., changed it to K. Then I was able to delete the PMS color from ID. Perfect! Thank you sooo much.
