Using 'tools' 'internet options' and 'delete temp internet files' results in program not responding end now.

I have run Norton but with no joy

Is there

a) Another way of deleting these files?
b) A way of resolving this problem?

Many Thanks

Are you saying it stopped working? Or that it took a long time? It can be a slow process, especially if you have a lot of files accumulated.

Thanks, I'm using IE6 and XP Pro. When I press delete I leave it for 10 mins and then try to cancel, and am told program is no longer responding.

Could be because it's a bug version. Have you upgraded it?

Another way to get rid of files is to delete them from the filestructur.

If I remeber it correctly it should be in either c:\documents & settings\user\local settings\temp. internet files
or
in the win map.

Also, try to reboot, and try 'delete temp internet files' again.

If you've got months of accumulated files, 10 minutes may not be enough. Start it and then do something else, give it an hour or two.
