Deleting replica paths from the synchronizing list

Since no one else has answered I'll try and dust the cobwebs out...
Last time a read about replicas was probably in an Access 97 book. I am relatively sure that you have to break replica or turn off replication and create new replicas. In short, you can't just get rid of them. Hopefully I am wrong or they have fixed it.
