Can someone give me a quick tutorial on how I can add/delete programs without access to the Add/Delete programs box (accessible thru the control panel).

When I try to access the A/D Programs box through the control panel, the box opens but I am not allow to select/de-select programs or manipulate the box. The text appears to be off, and the close box reads: Cl&ose, and cannot be clicked.

Trying to remove IE5 after loading IE6.
thanks

This might sound a bit basic but have you tried going into the directory in which the program is installed, i.e C:\program files\...\ and looking for the uninstaller?

Either that, or you could always try using an uninstaller program such as Ashampoo Uninstaller suite .. although its only really effective if you install the program using the Uninstaller suite as all that program does is takes a 'picture' of your system before and after installing a program, compares the changes made and allows you to restore all changes, therefore removing all existance of the program (which is more than the regular uninstall will remove).

Or you could always do it manually and go through your system deletin all the files related to that particular software then making appropriate changes to your registry.. wouldn't recommend this option tho unless you know what you're doing and have backed up etc.

have fun :)
