If I delete an email in my inbox it deletes that one and the one below it in the inbox. Can anyone help?

Deleting Problems With Outlook Express

I do not have a solution, but rather, a confirmation of the same problem, except that our user is on Outlook2003. Other than that, his experience is that about one out of 6-10 times that he deletes a message; the one below is also deleted. Can not see a definite pattern. Have watched over his shoulder and even tried it myself, and do not see any correlation with how hard the mouse is clicked or what message is below; it just "happens". Very frustrating indeed!

It is frustrating, I have emptied the deleted folder, compacted the folders and it's still happening. Can anyone help?
