Is there any way to delete the past searches in the dropdown bar of search fields? (i.e. double clicking on a search field and getting a dropdown bar of all previous searches, seems to be universal)
Thanks,
Wolf33
I don't know how to delete them all at once. I just start with the letter "a" and highlite each one and hit the delete key-then go to "b", "c" and so on. This wipes them all out eventually. If someone knows how to get them all at once, I'd like to know, also. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....."
This is an unelegant "shotgun" approach that I use. Does not affect functionality of Windows.

1. To clear forms and passwords information, go to Tools>InternetOptions, click the Content tab, click the AutoComplete button, and choose Clear Forms and Clear Passwords. Uncheck all boxes.
2. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options, click the Advanced tab and uncheck "use inline autocomplete for web addresses" and "use inline autocomplete in Windows Explorer"
3. Backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:
and delete any encypted entries that are listed in the right pane window.

This following turns off ALL dropdown and autocomplete functions so backup registry first.
