Hi,
At first, I partioned my HDD with Partition Magic. Now, I don't know happen ( because I did a lot of modification, resize, reformat when installing linux) , PM can't read partition table anymore. Now I want to delete the complete MBR but I'm not sure if the HD will still be fonctional after. I also want to know how can I write a clean partition table (I want a partition for windows, a swap and a ext3) .
Thanks for your help,
Laurent

fdisk and delete all partitions. May require the linux version to delete their partition.
You could use the zero fill utility that comes from the manufacturer to zap it. Or fdisk /mbr to write another.
The zero fill will wipe the partition table and it will be as shipped.
The fdisk after you've cleaned it will rewrite those areas it needs.
