Deleting multiple DNS records

I'm in the process of deleting DNS records out of my DNS server, is there a quick way of deleting multiple records??

At the moment I'm just selecting the record and then deleting the record

There is over 3000 records to be deleted

You didn't mention what platform your DNS server is running on (W2K, Linux, AIX etc.) and what DNS server you are using.

It's a native 2k domain with the DNS running on some DC's
