Hi. I am drawing an outline of my facility. I do it line segment by line segment, and it is very time consuming. It takes me nearly 2 hours to do. I keep finding mistakes in the drawing and Visio 2002 won't allow me to delete any line segment. For whatever reason, when I try to click on a ling segment, either all of the lines appear as a whole (no, I haven't grouped them and yes, I have tried to ungroup them, both don't help) or a line segment does appear as one but I try and cut it, but the line still stays there. There has to be a way to delete single line segments, right? Please Help! Thanks!

When you connect three or more lines precisely, you will create a shape. You cannot ungroup them by using the Ungrouping feature.

Try this:

Select the "Pencil" tool from the standard toolbar. Highlight the line segment you want to delete. Place the cursor over the rotation handle (the small circle) until the four-pointed arrow appears. Click your left mouse button; this should turn the control handle purple (this may take a steady hand and some practice). Press the Del key on your keyboard. This should delete the line segment.
