Deleting inividual files from backup media. 1

Is there a way to delete selected files from backup media? From what I've read up to now it seems to be an all or nothing affair.

It seems so. What you could do is configure your maintenance plan so it deletes files older than a specified amount of time.

I beleive the option to "delete files older than a number of days/months" only pretains to backups made to disc and not to tape. It is a true statement that it is an all or nothing task when deleting older backup set from tape media.
