Deleting imap fil;es in Outlook

I have my gmail e mails sent to Outlook 2003.
They appear in a gmail.com folder with sub folders one of which is All Mail which contains all e mails received or sent.
I have tried to delete these but they remain with a strike through.

How can I remove these e mails?
